Crime Stoppers Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Anti-Semitic Graffiti in Cedarhurst

Mineola, NY – Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, Legislator Howard J. Kopel and Hempstead Town Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino today announced an aggressive, joint initiative between the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Police after two new swastikas were discovered at the Long Island Rail Road’s (LIRR) Cedarhurst station this year. The officials also announced a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in these cases.

Nominations of Outstanding Women for Hempstead Town Pathfinder Award Now Being Accepted

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino are calling on residents, schools, businesses and community organizations to nominate outstanding women for the town’s 2015 Pathfinder Awards.  Held during National Women’s History Month, the Pathfinder Awards recognize the achievements of women who have made indelible impacts on their neighbors and communities.
